academic year is from July to April, and is
divided into four terms, as per the pattern
prevalent in all English medium public schools in
the country. Examination may not be the true
tests of a child’s ability, but regular classroom
assessment at the school level are indicative of
scholastic achievement. The results enable the
teachers as well as students to reassess their
orientation and take corrective measures, if
required. Due attention to subjects and topics in
which a child may need additional assistance is
accorded thereof.
Apart from the monthly tests, results of which
are intimated to parents, examinations are
organized twice each year. The half – yearly
examination takes place in November while the
final examination is conducted in the month of
April every year.
At the time of its inception, the founders of the
Narayana Vidyalayam felt the need to create an
education institution that is truly complete in
all aspects, an institution that would fulfill the
need of not just resident Indians, but also those
residing outside India. The school believes that
the positive aspects of Indian culture, tradition
and values must be imbibed in all our children in
their formative years. It was therefore felt that
the Narayana Vidyalayam, amongst other areas of
focus, should also aim at providing a complete,
quality education to children. Narayana
Vidyalayam aims at creating students who are
Perceptive Thinkers, Individuals with a positive
approach towards life and ideal citizens.
